Do you like creating art, even a teeny, tiny bit? If so, stop in at HMPL to pick up your own tiny canvas and easel to paint your tiny masterpiece. Kits will be available starting September 1 until they run out.  These are great for displaying in small spaces or even hanging on your wall or Christmas tree. 

On October 1st 5-7pm we will have a tiny art show in advance of our annual Adult Art Show. Please drop off your tiny creations by September 27 to be displayed in the library.

Just in time for the start of our Adult Art Show submission period (September 1), join Chris DiGiacomo, owner of Framed on Main in Ashtabula, for a Framing Workshop.

Chris will go over the basics including types of frames and mounts and how to select them, using mattes, and the art of hanging your artwork and photos. He will also offer a discount at this shop for anyone wanting to have their submissions professionally framed for the art show.

Join Linda Porcello and Robyn Ambrose to learn about how to raise and release monarch butterflies.  The program will run approximately 90 minutes.   Registration is appreciated so we have enough copies of the handouts. Please register by emailing Linda @ lindaporcello@gmail.com.  

On Saturday, September 7, help HMPL welcome Grevy, a 50lb tortoise who is coming to visit. His handler, Gus, will ensure all who are interested in getting up close and personal with Grevy will be properly educated. You can feed him and Gus will tell us all about his habits and interests. Grevy loves making new friends - you can be his next one!
