Placing Holds on Mobile Hotspots in 2020
In order to enhance the service of hotspot circulation at the Henderson Library, beginning January 2020 the library will be accepting and processing holds for mobile hotspots.
HMPL Family Christmas Party

Homeschool Nook 2020
There is more Homeschool activity fun coming in 2020 at HMPL with Miss Michaela! Thursdays is Book Club Day for homeschoolers.
Meet Jacob Haskell: Guiding Ohio Online Tech
Jacob Haskell, our Guiding Ohio Online Tech, has joined the Henderson Library Family.
He is happy to help patrons with one-on-one computer questions and on Wed. Nov 13 (6 PM) & Sat. Nov. 16 (1 PM) he will be providing Computer Basics classes at the library.
Jacob's hours are currently: Tues-Thu 4- 8 PM, Alternating Fridays & Saturdays 9-5, and one Sunday a month 1-5 PM.
Wreath Make & Take Event
It is the 2019 Wreath Make & Take Event @ the Henderson Library on Friday, November 22.
There will be two sessions this year: 5:30 PM & 7:00 PM
$20 due at time of registration.
There will be pre-made wreaths to decorate, along with light refreshments, holiday music, and take home ornament kits to purchase.
This event fills up fast so register ASAP!
November is Food for Fines Month
During the month of November the Henderson Library will be hosting Food for Fines.
Each non-perishable/ non expired food item brought into the library will equal $1 worth of overdue fines forgiveness up to $20.
This does not include LOST/DAMAGED materials or Wi-fi Hotspot fines.
All food will support the local MANNA Project in the Jefferson Village located at 89 E. Satin Street.
Snow Removal Bids Being Accepted @ HMPL
Quotes will be accepted in the Director's office of the Henderson Memorial Public Library at 54. E. Jefferson St., Jefferson, Ohio 44047, until Friday, October 25, 2019 at 5 PM, for snow plowing and clearing of sidewalks. Please stop in the library for printed copies of the quote specifications or here at our website under About Us/ Library Documents & Forms. Please include your proposal along with proof of liability insurance and worker's compensation coverage by attaching copies of your policies and certificates to the quote specifications form.
Do you like creating art, even a teeny, tiny bit? If so, stop in at HMPL to pick up your own tiny canvas and easel to paint your tiny masterpiece. Kits will be available starting September 1 until they run out. These are great for displaying in small spaces or even hanging on your wall or Christmas tree.
On October 1st 5-7pm we will have a tiny art show in advance of our annual Adult Art Show. Please drop off your tiny creations by September 27 to be displayed in the library.
Join us at HMPL and our friends from Soil and Water Conservation to learn how to turn your kitchen and yard waste into garden gold through composting.
Suzanne Westlake, District Technician with Ashtabula SWCD, will explain the tips and tricks to make composting easy. She will cover a variety of methods and discuss several different types of composters. You will leave confident you can successfully compost and have a good idea with the kind of system you would like to try.
