March is National Paws to Read Month!
What is “Paws to Read?” “Paws to Read” is a program that pairs licensed therapy dogs with children who need more confidence in their reading skills.
The Henderson Library will be hosting our therapy dogs on March 12, 2022 from 10 AM - 11:30 AM for your child to interact one-on-one with a puppy pal and read a book to them. Research shows that therapy dogs can help to reduce anxiety as well as improve focus and attention span. Therapy dogs serve as a calm presence and allow children to work to improve literacy, comprehension, and communication with a nonjudgmental listener.
Please call to register your child now by calling us at (440) 576-3761. Time slots are 10-10:30 AM, 10:30 - 11:00 AM, and 11:00 - 11:30 AM.
It's PAWSitively FUN!
